For the safety, the operator should dress the acid-proof apron and wear the face mask or goggles. Once the electrolyte splashes on the skin or cloth, you should wash by plenty of water immediately.
Battery is without the electrolyte when has been sent to customer with the generator, so top up the electrolyte with correct proportion (1:1.28) before using. Unscrew the cover of battery compartment, inject the electrolyte smoothly until located between the two scale lines which are marked on the metal plate and as close as possible to the upscale line. Please do not use the battery immediately, and it should stand for a while about 15 minutes.
At the first time to charge the battery, pay attention on continuous charging time no longer than 4 hours, otherwise, it would cause damage to the battery life.
The charging time should be extended if one of conditions occurs as follows,
The charging time should be 8 hours if the storage time of battery is between 3 months to 12 months
The charging time should be 8 hours if the condition of environmental temperature lasts for higher than 30℃ (86°F) or relative humidity lasts for more than 80%
The charging time should be 12 hours if the storage time of battery more than 12 months.
In the end of charging, check the level of the electrolyte whether is enough or not. If not, top up the standard electrolyte with correct proportion (1:1.28)
Caution: open the filter cap or vent cover first before charging, check the level of the electrolyte, and adjust it by add distilled water if necessary. In addition, in order to prevent gas pollution failing to discharge timely by the battery lattice long-term close and avoid drops of water condenses on the top wall of cells, pay attention to open the special air vent, to facilitate the air circulation.
Remark: Because of the electrolyte leaked and corroded diesel generators sometimes, in transportation, we do not offer the electrolyte (And the electrolyte, as a standard and common product, is easy to purchase.)
