Listen: Listen if there is any abnormal noise in the run process of diesel gen-set, etc, the combustion explosion in diesel combustion chamber is uniform or not, the impact sound of the piston, connecting rod, crankshaft in the diesel engine operation process normal or not，any abnormal noises in intake valve and exhaust valve and the transmission gear of diesel engine.
Touch: Check the follow conditions, such as, the temperature of exhaust is same as the others or not, the temperature of diesel gen-set shell is too high, the temperature of the bumper sewer pipe and upper hose is the same or not, the temperature of oil pipe is the same with oil temperature gauge indicator or not, vibration of machine is normal or not and so on.
Smell: any smell of burning come from components in the process of diesel gen-set power supply, such as the interior circuits of generator control cabinet, components, stators, rotors and so on, and any smell of engine oil burning in diesel gen-set.
Find out fault by classification
The diesel gen-set can be divided into three parts: diesel engine, generator and control box. In the exclusion of diesel generator set faults, they should be found by combining with the structural characteristics of diesel engine, generator and control box.
